There is no engagement without a proposal and there is no proposal without a ring and finding that ring can be quite a tall order! However, all of my concerns were rendered harmless with the numerous conversations that I had with Cortland, as his combination of passion, creativity and technical knowledge was reassuring from start to finish. And in the spirit of full disclosure, although he is family, ultimately the work must speak for itself and turning a blind eye to the lack of quality of a product by virtue of familial ties is a disservice to everyone. Needless to say, the quality of his work is superb and to this day random people will comment on the beauty of my wife's ring and are further bewildered when they see the wedding band slide out in between the double shanked ring. It is a true masterpiece and it was a privilege to have an original piece crafted from the one and only Cortland Shopper.

Working with Jewels by Cor really did my make jewelry dreams come true. They created a wedding band to match my engagement ring, perfectly matching the green sapphire stone, unique antique design, and customized teardrop fit- the two rings are flawless. The ease of working with Pyari and Cortland was amazing. I thought they delivered incredible service and value, and felt assured and confident throughout the project. I highly recommended Jewels by Cor to anyone needing inspired jewelry, no matter how significant a piece (think 50 years of marriage) or small (i.e., friend’s last minute wedding band emergency). I know that everyone who I recommend will go through the same excellent experience.
 
Saying I love my rings isn’t enough, I LOVE them. I’m looking at 10 years of marriage and I think that means another customized sapphire band to match my existing pieces. I am truly looking forward to again working with Jewels by Cor to make another creative piece and once again making my jewelry dreams come true.

In a word, it was FANTASTIC working with Pyari and Cortland.  I felt valued and never felt pushed throughout the entire process.   They helped me source the right stone, presenting many options and price points.  Cortland also helped so much with the design, when we saw the right one we both knew it and agreed immediately.  I loved seeing my fiancés reaction to the ring when I proposed.  It was priceless! My fiancé tells me daily how much she loves the ring; we think It's perfect. The cherry on top was seeing how much it appraised for and seeing comparable pieces being sold at jewelry stores.  

I recommend all my friends to Cortland and Pyari.

Cortland, listened.  He took his time to truly understand what I was trying to build in a ring.  Classic, timeless and refined. Then he designed something better.  Not only did I love it but (more importantly) my wife does too!  The fit was perfect the quality is unmatched!  It is a fantastic embodiment of our love.  Further, it arrived on time!  If you don't use JEWELS BY COR you are not realizing your rings full potential.

Cortland was incredibly thoughtful and creative to work with. We took an idea that I had and through the design process worked on it to create a piece that was beyond my initial concept and beautiful in reality.  The diamond that he found for Nicole's engagement ring was a perfect balance and the setting surrounding it allows the stone to be pronounced in a very gracious way.  The experience was easy and creatively fun with a great turnaround in terms of time frame even during the holidays.  I enjoyed the creative collaboration the most and I feel like the value is fantastic. Cortland and Pyari are both so personable and responsive. They are great at following up and keeping the process moving! I would highly recommend them.

For my birthday last year, my husband gifted with me some gorgeous lapis earrings. The best part of knowing that my husband gets all my jewelry from Cortland is that I never have to worry about the taste level or quality. From those earrings to the beautiful pearl necklace I couldn't resist, to the rhododendrite necklace that is so unusual and lovely: Cortland's pieces are true works of art. This jewelry is a way for me to create family heirlooms that I know will be passed on for generations. And of course, the icing on the cake is the phenomenal customer service.

The customer service provided by Cortland and Pyari as they designed a very special jewelry piece for us was exceptional! They were very accommodating with respect to schedule, and generated multiple ideas using sophisticated software that really helped us envision the final piece.  The diamond anniversary band they created was skillfully rendered, beautiful and brilliant, and a fitting commemoration of our 20 years of marriage. 

The couple radiates a positive energy, enthusiasm, and genuine friendliness that make them a joy to work with ~ we would definitely look forward to collaborating with them on additional pieces in the future!

When I started looking for engagement rings with my fiancée, Sarah, it was in jewelry stores. I quickly got the sense that these were not the places we were going to find her ring. We would walk in and I would see a hawk-like gaze in the sales person’s eyes from across the room and I could just imagine their thoughts “fish on the line”. They would give us a minute and then the two of us would be bombarded with an array of shinier and shiner rings, in the end she would want the biggest shiniest one possible. It wasn’t that the rings weren’t nice or affordable, none were the ring I wanted for Sarah. Ultimately I felt the sales people would give us limited options, then back away, watch the pressure pile on to buy something, or we would have to make multiple trips to view a lot of rings that I felt just didn’t reflect the way I felt about her.

By my sister’s recommendation I came into contact with Pyari and Cortland and everything became easy. They walked me through a simple and thorough process to find out what the most important aspects of a ring were to my fiancée and I, which was the diamond itself. In selecting the main diamond I received ample information on their certifications and how different aspects affected their quality and price to allow me to make an educated decision. This was all done by Email and by phone being it that we live in Michigan and they live in California. After boiling the selection down to two diamonds Pyari flew to Michigan to present them right to my door, talk about absolutely phenomenal service! 

After that Sarah and I sent them some pictures of rings we liked and specified what we liked about them. Cortland and Pyari then incorporated our ideas and gave us renderings of a few designs to choose from.  After that we had our perfect ring. All this at our own pace and no wasting time shopping for rings we didn’t want, and no pressure to make any quick decisions. 

Now after almost a year of Sarah and my engagement this ring has ceased to be a show stopper, women’s eyes are always drawn to it and it intimidates other men, I couldn’t be more pleased. It appraising for over twice what I paid is a little icing on the cake, but the real satisfaction and joy is when I see Sarah starring into it and knowing she always has a reminder of how much I cherish and love her. 

I recommend the services of Pyari and Cortland for their high standard in quality gems, their phenomenal service and their attention to detail. It was a wonderful experience for me and both my fiancée and I look forward to my next purchase.

Purchasing jewelry should be a fun and informative process. My experience dealing with Cortland and Pyari exceeded all of my expectations. Sourcing a conflict free diamond was very important for me and the extensive background information they were able to provide made my whole experience so delightful. My husband knows they have such wonderful taste and I always look forward to those special occasions when I know I will be receiving something unique and beautiful from them. They are simply amazing!
